I did not manage to get to SOTM, but luckily Chaitanya Kuber (an ex-Multimaper) did some great blog notes on it.  I found this one of particular interest.

Also Sean Gorman has some great observations in this post.  I’m not quite sure OSM is a fight against consumerism….

Also John Mckerell did a great talk (he has just repeated it for us at Multimap) on using Crowd Sourced Data in a Commercial API.  See notes on it here and John’s slides here.  John gives some good insights into the pros and cons (which could apply to any organisation using open source data).
