I’m on my way back to London from Innsbruck (via Munich).  Munich is still my favourite airport.  I’m sick of doing a self-service check-in and then queuing for ages for a so call ‘fast bag drop’. 

Lufthansa now have the answer:

So you can drop your own bags.  Cool!  It worked really well (assuming my bags turn up at the other end!)

As a result, the queues on a busy Sunday evening look like this:

And the airport even has a Biergarten with good beer at a cheap price.  What more could you want in an airport?
