Johannes Kebeck has been really quick off the mark and already has a demo of SQLServer2008 working with Virtual Earth.&#160; SQLServer2008 was released a few days ago with spatial support.&#160;

SQL Server 2008 was released yesterday and can be evaluated from here.&#160;
